The following photographs were taken from Plant Road (in Egan) facing toward the westbound lane on Interstate 10. The decision was made to photograph from that area rather than stopping on the shoulder of the interstate due to safety concerns and to avoid the appearance of suspicious behavior since the area was a relatively fresh crime scene area. It was not possible to determine the exact spot where body was lying so these pictures will only serve to give a general idea of the area.
- From viewing the video footage of crime scene, and noticing where the crime scene tapes had been placed, Necole’s body was to the left (and down) from where the metal overpass railing begins.
- The ballpark appeared to be completely surrounded by fencing and the vegetation was quite overgrown making it unlikely the body was transported from that direction.
- Another view of the fencing and vegetation. Body location would be towards the right in picture on the embankment.
- Body was located further left than this photo which gives and idea of the steepness of the embankment and again……..the fencing and vegetation.
- Another shot of the embankment. If you look closely you can see what appear to be tire marks in the grass/dirt. Could have been there awhile or maybe fresh….no way to know. Could possibly be from tractor mowing.
- View towards Interstate 10 overpass from Plant Road.
- Shows the area between ballpark fence and embankment. This area was fenced as well on the Plant Road side.
- Barbed wire fencing more visible in this shot. The embankment is visible in the background and you can get an idea of it’s steepness.
- Another view looking up towards embankment from Plant Road.
- One section of fencing that does have an opening in it.
- This is a screenshot from KPLC video that shows where the crime scene tape was placed which will give you a better gauge for the pictures above as to the approximate location of Necole’s body on the embankment which had rolled about 150 feet down.
