The ink on Necole’s missing person report was barely dry when authorities received a call that she had been located. On August 19, 2009, less than two weeks before her 27th birthday, Necole Jean Guillory’s lifeless body was found brazenly discarded along busy Interstate 10 in Acadia Parish. She had become the 8th victim in a series of unsolved murders that began in May, 2005.
Necole had last been seen by her mother on August 16th. Around 1:30 pm on August 19th, worried and unable to locate her daughter, Necole’s mother filed a missing person report with the Jennings Police Department. They immediately forwarded the information to a Multi-Agency Investigative Task Force which had been formed to investigate the numerous female slayings in Jeff Davis Parish. By 2:00 pm, investigators had begun interviewing the family.
At 2:30 pm, a call came in to law enforcement that a deceased female had been found in nearby Acadia Parish. A highway maintenance crew had discovered Necole’s partially clothed body on a west bound, I-10 overpass embankment near Plant Road in the small town of Egan, LA. The area is located between mile markers 73 and 74. Her body was on a recently mowed, grassy area, approximately 150 yards off the interstate.
A positive identification on Necole was confirmed the day after her body was found. On August 22nd, Acadia Parish coroner, Mark Dawson, reported to media that Necole had likely died from asphyxia. Her death was classified as a homicide. Coroner Terry Welke, from neighboring Calcasieu Parish, performed the autopsy. Dawson also confirmed that the lower half of Necole’s body was unclothed.
It was not a difficult task for authorities to realize Necole’s murder was closely related to the seven mysterious JDP deaths that preceded her. She was reportedly seen entering a vehicle (no description available) on Doyle Street just prior to the discovery of her body. 7th victim, Brittney Gary, was living on Doyle Street at the time of her abduction and murder. Necole’s killer deviated in the disposal of her body compared to earlier victims who had been discarded on the rural back roads of Jeff Davis Parish just outside the town of Jennings.
Authorities were quick to point out to local media that Necole was known to frequent the same area and ran in the same circle as the 7 victims that had been murdered/died mysteriously before her. We learned that she had an arrest record dating back to 2001 for theft, burglary, aggravated assault of a police officer and possession of drug paraphernalia……among other things. At one time, Necole served a 20 month prison sentence for possession of crack cocaine and was released earlier this year. At the time of her death, Necole had a warrant out for her arrest due to a parole violation. Necole was closely related, as a first cousin, to Jeff Davis Parish jail warden, Terrie Guillory.
